Pages

What it is

Pages is two things in one. Signed out, it is a clean Markdown editor: write on the left, see the finished page on the right, use the toolbar or keyboard shortcuts, open a .md file from your device, download your work or print it. Your draft stays in your browser and nothing you type is sent to us.

Sign in and the same editor saves what you write as a page with its own address. Share a page with nobody, with anyone who has the link, or with named people, and let readers leave comments.

What you can do

• Write: headings, bold, italic, lists, checklists, quotes, links, images, tables and code, with a live preview and word count.
• Keep it local: open a .md file, download one, print or save as PDF. No account needed.
• Save and share (signed in): pages with a link, private or shared with specific email addresses, comments on or off, and a reading style readers can choose for themselves.

Your data

Signed out, everything stays in your browser. Signed in, pages and comments are stored against your account on the platform. A page shared "by link" is readable by anyone who has that link.
