What it is
A games platform that runs entirely in the browser: no downloads, no app stores, nothing to install. Sixteen games, from arcade classics to board games and party games, with a shared lobby and high-score boards. Built for a family, so it works on a phone, a tablet or a TV browser, with on-screen controls where a game needs them.
What you can do
- Arcade: Snake, Tetris, Space Invaders, Asteroids, Pong, Dodge!, Bomber, Curve Fever and Light Cycles.
- Boards: Connect 4, Dots & Boxes, Checkers and Battleships.
- Party: Uno (with hidden hands), Pictionary with live drawing, and a quiz.
- Play solo or live: most games have a solo mode with a personal best and a live arena where whoever is online can join.
- High scores: every game keeps a board. Solo games rank scores, versus games count wins.
How it works
The server runs the games, not your browser: your device only draws the screen and sends your moves. That is why scores can't be faked and why two players in different houses see exactly the same game.
Your data
Sign in with your getdowntonight account; the game shows the first part of your email address as your player name. Scores and wins are stored against that name. Nothing else is collected.
