Terms of Use and Acceptable Use Policy

These terms apply to getdowntonight.co.uk and to the apps and tools that share its account system (the "platform"). By creating an account or using the platform you agree to them. Please also read the Privacy Policy, which explains what data we hold and why.

Who We Are

Your Account

• One account signs you in to every app on the platform. Some apps are open to anyone with an account; others need an invitation or approval from the operator.
• You must be 16 or over to create an account, or have a parent or guardian's permission.
• Give a real email address you control. It is how we contact you and how invitations reach you.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
• We may close accounts that have been unused for a long time, after emailing you first.

The Service

• The platform is provided free of charge, for personal and small-team use, as it is. There is no guarantee that it will always be available, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose, and features may change or be withdrawn.
• It is run by one person on modest infrastructure. Please treat it as a convenience rather than the only copy of anything important: keep your own backups of files and data you care about.
• We may suspend or limit the service to protect it or other users, and we will try to give notice where we can.

Your Content

• Anything you upload, write or publish on the platform (files, pages, posts, images, comments, playlists) stays yours.
• You give us permission to store, process and serve that content as needed to run the service for you, and to share it with the people you choose to share it with. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from backups that expire in the normal course of things.
• You are responsible for making sure you have the right to upload and share what you upload, and that it does not break the law or these terms.
• Websites you publish with the website builder are yours to run. You are the publisher of what appears on them and, if you collect data from your own visitors, you are responsible for that data and for telling your visitors about it.

Acceptable Use

You must not use the platform to:

• store, publish or share anything unlawful, or anything that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy;
• stream, record or share video or audio that you do not hold the rights to (this includes the IPTV viewer: use it only with sources you are licensed to watch);
• harass, threaten, defame or impersonate anyone, or share content that is abusive or intended to cause distress;
• send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, whether through the email app, invitations, comments or any other feature;
• upload malware, or attempt to probe, scan, overload, attack or gain unauthorised access to the platform, its accounts or its infrastructure;
• scrape or bulk-collect other users' data, or bypass any access control, rate limit or approval step;
• process personal data about other people that you have no right to process, or in a way that breaks data-protection law;
• resell access to the platform, or use it in a way that imposes an unreasonable load on it.

If you find a security problem, please tell us privately at the address above rather than exploiting or publicising it.

Enforcement

We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with or without notice depending on how serious the breach is. We will explain why where it is safe to do so. Where the law requires it, we may pass information about unlawful activity to the authorities.

Liability

• To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform, including loss of data, loss of business or any indirect loss.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
• The platform is aimed at users in the United Kingdom. If you use it from elsewhere you are responsible for complying with your local laws.

Ending Your Account

You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We will delete your personal data and content as described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change is significant we will let you know by email or a notice on the platform, and continuing to use the platform after that means you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
